Andrews, Pat PDF Print E-mail


Pat AndrewsPat Andrews is a Research Physical Scientist for the Missoula Fire Sciences Laboratory.  She has a degrees in mathematics (B.A. and M.A.) and in forestry (Ph.D., University of Montana). Pat began as a Physical Science Technician at the Fire Lab in the early '70s. She was a Mathematician until 1991 when she became a scientist and Project Leader of the Fire Behavior Research Work Unit. She was Project Leader for five years.

Pat’s focus has always been on science integration and application of fire behavior and fire danger research. She has led development of the BehavePlus fire modeling system and is involved in work on WFAS, the Wildland Fire assessment System, and the National Fire Danger Rating System.
