The next FireWorks Master Class will be held Friday & Saturday, Feb. 19-20, 2010, in Missoula, MT. The class is free and open to anyone involved in education, fire management, or public outreach-- agency or non-agency, public or private. Please contact Autumn Yanzick for more information or to register.

This “master class” covers FireWorks in depth and includes nearly all of the 36 activities in the original curriculum, plus new activities for learning about fire ecology in prairie ecosystems and use of fire by the Pikunii (Blackfeet) people. Class participants conduct experiments and learn from many hands-on activities. The workshop prepares you to teach students (grades 1-10), network with teachers, and host FireWorks workshops. University of Montana and Office of Public Instruction credit are applied for.

Call the FireWorks coordinator nearest your area (see Trunk Locations for names and numbers) to learn about local teacher workshops.
