James Mayes is a Research Technician with the Fire, Fuel, and Smoke Science program at the Missoula Fire Lab. He received his bachelor’s degree is in Wildlife & Conservation Biology and Post Graduate education at the University of Montana’s Flathead Biological Station. His current focus is working on a professional Masters degree in Environmental Policy & Management.
James’ interests include Landscape ecology and modeling, Dendrochronology, Aquatic/ Riparian zone interaction; Climate change and is associated affects on flora/faunal distributions and feedback; the use of GIS/ Remote sensing technologies to advance scientific understanding.
