Nancy (Nanka) McMurray is a Ecologist Writer and Bibliography Specialist for the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) at the Missoula Fire Sciences Laboratory. She has a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana.

Nanka maintains and updates the bibliographic database that supports and synthesizes fire effects information on wildlife species for FEIS. She also co-developed the FireWorks educational trunk and curriculum. She has worked on wildlife and forestry research projects, including grizzly bear research, for the U.S.D.A. Forest Service and the University of Montana.
