Advance our capacity to represent and model wildland fuels and their interactions with fire and the environment with simulation modeling, establish linkages between USDA Forest Service fuel and vegetation models and related models developed by researchers in the French Agricultural research service and French Forest Service within the CAPSIS (Computer Aided Projections of Strategies in Silviculture) modeling framework.
