Personal Summary: 

Janet is an ecological editor and writer for the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) at the Missoula Fire Sciences Laboratory. Writing FEIS reviews involves locating, summarizing, and integrating information about the biology and fire ecology of plant and animal species for land managers. Janet's graduate work included a study of the population ecology of whitebark pine. She taught science in high school and middle school before working for the Fire Sciences Laboratory.
