FFS Program Manager Colin Hardy, Missoula, recently received a letter of appreciation for Research Ecologist Matt Jolly from NASA. NASA praised Matt for his excellent contributions to the project TOPOFIRE: Prototype System for Predicting Insect and Climate induced Impacts on Fire Hazard in Complex Terrain, led by Zachary Holden from Region 1. Holden identified Matt as a key member of the project team, citing his technical skill and ability to adapt fuel moisture and fire danger models to new datasets.
